Villager-to-villager conversation question.

So, in a hypothetical scenario, if you were to enclose villagers by digging holes around them to get them to converse between one another (which I like to do because I like to hear some juicy gossip :3), and two villagers eventually begin to conversate, what would you have to do to sorta do to make this kind of thing happen again sooner? Basically, my questions are is there a cooldown to when villagers conversate (excluding the time it takes to stop feeling a certain emotion), and/or isn't there a way to sorta re-fresh the "cooldown", like walking away far enough from the area and coming back? Also, please don't judge me about anything I just said in this entire paragraph. I just like a bit of humor. And thank you for taking the time to read this.

Sorry if I couldn't understand you. I'm assuming you mean, do villagers have to be away to have a conversation? I'm going to say no, probably a set thing villagers do when they see each other.

I think the conversations are random, so yeah, they would probably have to be away from each other for awhile in order to start one up again. Also, to me, the villager conversations are rare, but if you want more, just pare up several villagers together and then read their conversations, then save and quit and pare them up again. That's probably the best way to do it. >.>

Hmm not sure what the cool down period is for villager-villager conversations actually, or even if there is one. The number of times villagers talk to each other may just be RNG whereas villagers pinging the player has a cool down (like when we use the diving suit trick for PWPs/pings). From my experience, I remember seeing villagers talking to others fairly soon after finishing one conversation.. because once O?Hare was talking to Pudge and became depressed after their conversation and was moping around. But almost immediately after he became fine again, he began talking to Opal and did the happy singing emote (and I didn?t have to dig holes around them )
