Okay so say if you go to someone's town, talk to the villager you want and persuade them to move . If they move in a bad place, can you still do the villager reset trick ? Like will their house just move or is a different villager going to move in ?

If you convinced a villager to move in, tt to the next day ( the day they're moving in ) and do the villager reset trick, it should only reset where their house is located. I'm doing it right now for Francine, it just resets where their plot of land goes. No need to worr about losing the villager.
