Villager randomly moving out??? HELP.

What Setsu is reporting now to have happened sounds exactly like what happens when people tried to fix the old glitch by inviting someone. They move into the glitched house and they're around on the island but the plot is still glitched.
It does, but I don't think the problem is that Fang is never home, but that Fang now occupies Audie's home and the exterior hasn't changed?

So it wouldn't work if I use my Gladys amiibo to kick out Fang in Audie's house?

According to people who have had that glitch in the past where one villager lives in another villager's house after the one plot gets bugged, this could risk it getting more messed up.

Try to follow the instructions for unglitching your plots above with TTing. Please report back.

EDIT: btw, do you also have Fang's house on your map somewhere else, in addition to him moving into Audie's house?

Exactly. Fang is out and about now, but he is in Audies house. Thus why I now try to kick him out with Gladys' amiibo.

I looked and Fang's house is not somewhere else. The others still have their house.

I experienced the original glitch (plot saying reserved for 's house, then having new villager Twiggy occupy 2 houses after moving in, one always saying she's out) and I was able to get rid of both of Twiggy's houses by using a campsite villager (not amiibo) to kick Twiggy out of my town. I've heard people say that amiibo villagers work similar to normal campsite but I wouldn't vouch for that :x

I'm unsure if kicking Fang out now would change the house or not, though :/

I mean, I can't cycle Fang out with TT either, since he is the newest villager, right?

Ok well I think the worst that can happen is that Gladys will occupy Fang's or Audie's house if you scan her in then. So sure, I guess if you want give it a shot.

I still think trying to get Fang to ping you to move out might be the best bet. He should be able to ping you. I've seen people say they had a villager move in and a few days after they moved in the pinged to leave.

That's interesting! I'm going off the mod post from this site about not doing that for the old glitch because it could cause more problems. But I think if there is not a 2nd house, it is unlikely make things worse (by glitching another plot) even if it doesn't fix it.

There isn't a second Fang house. I just checked them all and they were all either home or had their own name and house saying they were out. While Fang now is looking at insects over at "Audies" house.

So it should be okay to try and kick him with Gladys?

I'm not sure if it's gonna fix the problem, but I don't think it can do much harm either. Just don't quote me on that :P

No-one knows if it will fix it. I don't think it could make it worse at this point. It was apparently only a potential problem for the old glitch cuz people had a 2nd house which you don't.

You could give it a shot but there is no guarantee it will fix the problem. She might end up occupying Audie's or Fang's house.

Nintendo needs to remove the void feature completely until they can reproduce this problem and fix it. It's caused WAY too many glitches and really, the void is annoying and not a useful feature in the first place.

I wonder if there was something in that 16-villager cycle code from NL that they deleted which helped prevent stuff like this.

Honestly. I think I'll just let maybe-glitchy Fang be for now. I will TT forward to try get a new plot for Audie and if I'm lucky, Fang will leave on his own. I'm tired;

Aw that’s understandable. It’s incredibly frustrating after all that effort you put in to get her and try to save her when she glitched out.

I hope this hasn’t soured the game for you. I’d be afraid of that.

I has put me in less of a mood to play, after all the work and then a bug throws that all away; But nothing to do about it. I might have won an auction for her. No confirmation yet, but I'll try get her back and hopefully the glitchy plot will somehow be cleared up.

I have had an Amiibo villager take over someone else’s house! Beau lives in Rudy’s house. I haven’t had any negative repercussions, so it’s one of the more minor errors with this glitch.

I don't really mind Fang living in Audie's house. It's a nice house. Just the glitchy part that worries me. And of course losing Audie;;
