How long does a villager take to ping to move out after a new villager has moved in? I swear it feels like Ruby moved in weeks ago already and no one has pinged to move out. Slowly losing my mind!

It can happen the same day. I have had villagers ping to move even while stakes are up. Just depends on where you are in the moving cycle.

Yep, what Dorian said.
You'll just have to be patient, unfortunatly :c. Just make sure to keep talking to the villager(s) you want moved out (but also not too much, like once or twice a day!) I believe that when you completely ignore them, they won't just move.

If you're comfortable with it, TTing a few days can help speed things along.

If not, all you can do is wait. I find that talking to villagers doesn't help a lot but waiting for them to come up to me yields better chances of them wanting to move.

TT 2 days at a time making sure to talk to dreamies at least once every in game week so they will ping you. I think the longest you should go it a week till someone will want to move ^^
Good luck!

If you go two days forward and back at least you're staying in the same week and you can stay on talking terms with your villagers.
If you're at 10 villagers you should be getting a moving ping every 5 days or so. 9 villagers it can take a bit more time. Tting should speed it up if you're okay with it. I remember it taking ages for my original 9 to leave, I never filled the 10th spot at the time or did any time travel.
Can remember coming here celebrating when Chrissy finally asked to leave
