Yes it's different from previous methods on gathering villager popularity. I think it will really help keep tiers balanced throughout the rapid changes it goes through.
The list will not be 100% based from the poll. Most of it is from browsing the Official Looking For Thread, cycling, lurking, etc.
The other influence? Posting here! Discussions is what's going to keep this list alive. You can agree, disagree with current villager's in tiers, and that's okay. Keep it clean, of course.

One problem, I took all the surveys and Frogs were missing from the polls! I don't remember seeing dogs, little bears, koalas, ducks, elephants, deer, monkeys, chickens, eagles,kangaroos, or cats either! Thanks to you both for taking this on! I hope this thread becomes very successful!

I went completely through each one! I'll try taking it again. Maybe googledocs glitches out on my iphone but I noticed those species missing!

Edit: Forgot to mention in my first post, but I really am hoping to find a better way to host these polls. Google forms is D: not so great to me. So i'm sorry you all have to scroll through soooooo many pages to get to some villagers. <3

Also just a quick note about the polls:
-- multiple choice options are like you're ranking which their they should be in. I recently just added this since I did seem to make it confusing. if you accidentally submitted an answer wayyy off, we can fix it! just let us know~

And there was something, briefly, but like I said it's a WIP and I really don't like using google docs so I'm trying to find an alternative and move everything there.

I like what you have done so far. I have not taken the poll, not sure exactly how it works. I also feel there needs to be one that is updated regularly, and the other one has not been done on a regular basis for a while. The popularity changes fairly often. In the short time I have been cycling again....I have seen more requests for lower tier than the top tier.

Alexi and I decided tier one should be split.
So T1 will have 5 villagers and the other tiers (minus 6) will have 10-ish.

Don't quote me on this because the poll is mainly handled by Alexi, however I believe that the poll options aren't for tiers it's for most desired - undesired.
Like Alexi stated in the second post, it's a first draft on collecting data. We might decide to change it to what tier you believe that certain villager should be in and so on so forth.
