I'm trying DESPERATELY to get Teddy to place his plot somewhere in this widespread area. (Sorry for bad quality, I'm on my phone)

But this has to be the 17th plot reset and his plot will NOT show up in this area! Are there only certain areas where villager plots can show up?

There are definitely spots in town that villagers seem to prefer plotting in (kind of like how the sign posts worked back in Wild World, if you've ever played that), but they can theoretically move into any spot as long as they have the room to do so.

Teddy definitely has the room to do so. If you keep trying, I'm sure that he'll make it eventually. If you want to, and if you're planning on ever plot resetting for any other villagers, take note of any spots that he is frequently plotting in. If any of those spots are absolutely terrible and you'd never want a villager to move there, make sure you stick some PWPs or an alternate character's home there.

That's a good idea! He just keeps putting his house down near the cliffs and it's SO FRUSTRATING. Good to know that it's possible tho :)

Its random and luck. PWP can be useful to place houses to where you want them to go at times, but at this moment of time it can't help for you sorry. :(

I wish you luck though!

Sometimes it takes a whiiiiiile for a villager to plot where you want them to. Additionally, there seem to be areas around towns that villagers are more likely to plot in than others.

I had to plot reset almost 100 times to get Eugene to place his house in the general vicinity of where I wanted it. The game kept placing it smack in front of one of my bridges... :rolleyes:

Ugh... well, hopefully he'll be in soon. One of his plots was squished between a pond and the town hall... like seriously???

unfortunately all luck. i've noticed they like to move where old villagers lived....don't give up though! goodluck!

I definitely won't, thanks! But it's doesn't end here... Lobo, Erik and Fauna are next -_-

Maybe try putting PWPs in to block all the places you don't want them to move to? I like using the Flower Bed: it's cheap and you can walk over it, so it's not too much in the way.

omg i feel your pain. i had to move in 9 villagers and some like beau moved in where i wanted them first plot. others like zell took 3hrs. erik took 40plots...fauna. that bum, love her but she took 3-4days over 200plots LOL. hopefully the next 3 cooperate.

ah yes that's true. i'd do a few and if they kept plotting somewhere, i'd go back a day and put the fence there so they'd be forced to go somewhere else. it's cheap and takes up a lot of space lol. sometimes they were smart though and tried moving in same area and just moved up a few blocks to knock out my paths

Maybe... the fence could work too since it takes up a lot of space. But since I TT'd far ahead since I got him to move in, I'm worried that TTing back will make him move in without my control. Correct me if I'm wrong?

The fence is probably everyone's first choice, but I hate running into it. xD;

I was mostly referring to your future move-ins, not your current struggle with Lobo. It would give you time to build like 20 PWPs everywhere.

Oh I see. That's a good idea. I can build a bunch along the cliffs where they tend to move in. Now to endure teddy...
