I have a question on villager placement. Do people tend to like there villagers near each other, scattered, or does it not matter? Just need opinions on what has worked better. Right now my villagers are all over the place. Its not really bothering me now but I am not sure if it will get in the way in the long run.
Thanks ^^

Depends on the person
On my town of zebilage I have them scatter around but in the top part
And on lovely it's between each other
Example
Pietro house is here so muffy house must be in the side of pietro
And so on like my other in different part
(Note because of themes and because of personal taste)

I think for everyone it varies.
I'm sure some people want them close together.
And some want them somewhat all over.

For me I like when there are small groups together.
2-3 villagers next to each other and then in a different area 2-3 villagers together.
I think it looks nice this way.

Currently mine are scattered so I will need to kick some out and then do the fun task of placing for new villagers.
I like organization even though it takes a lot of time and effort.
But yes I do prefer clusters of houses that are aligned but not necessarily all of them together.

What kind of sick person would have their villagers to live all alone in a corner somewhere? Of course you have them live near each other if you have any heart at all.

I personally don't mind too much where they are, as long as it isn't in the way of a future project.
In my current town though, I have pairs of 2 animal villagers living next to each other.
Rosie & Punchy
Bob & Rudy
Marshal & Goldie
Beau & Diana
and lolly is right above my house, but on the other side of the river

I mean it all depends on the person. Personally for me, I like my villagers to be neighbors with each other. When I was plot resetting Marina, I wanted her to be neighbors with either Beau or Fang, and she ended up being next to Fang. I personally like how it looks when their houses are next to each other rather than being scattered around.

Im placing my villagers in a large U shape. It's a pain to get right because for some reason my villagers love plotting on my island in the bottom middle of my town so I have to plot rest around 15 times. When its all done it'll look cool. My villagers are not far from each other.

I prefer both. I have a small group of villagers next to my house and the rest are scattered. I like it because I have a small community of villagers next to each other, and then the rest have more private houses. It gives my town more variety.

I always seemed to try to scatter them evenly.... Riften definitely has that.... but I decided to try to put some near me in my other two towns! Erik and Blaire live in like a plaza a made for them. Hamlet looks like my irl hamster so he's my neighbor. and then I put Tangy next to me in my newest town because she is my favorite, as well as O'Hare and sucker lined up next to each other so they live near each other too

The only villager I have that I'm going to really KEEP is Merengue, and she settled in the most perfect place EVER. I'm planning on a third player character, and I have areas set aside for all my humans, one of which is currently occupied by puck but he's finally leaving! I think as long as they sort of stay near the main paths, I won't worry about plot resets too much.

I like having mine all in their own little area so I have more space for projects.
