Villager Pic Glitch?

I was in Pinky's house and she was sitting on a bench, and when I went to talk to her she said that she was giving me her picture, but when I opened my inventory, it wasn't in there. I thought she might just send it to me in the mail, but it's been roughly three days and it never showed up. Is there a glitch where villagers can't give you objects when sitting down or something? D:
