Villager moving on event day?

man, today is Shamrock Day and someone told me Blanche thinking to move >< It been few days that nobody ping me so I am afraid...afraid today wasn't the first day and not sure if she will ping me too (still early and she still sleeping). Will villager ping on a day like this? Not a pretty big event like Festivale tho...

I've never had anyone ping on an event day. At least you know who to look on the next day. I just had that happened in one of my towns where it was weeding day.

I have a similar question; Bree is scheduled to be in boxes tomorrow but since it's Shamrock Day, will she not go into her boxes until it's over? I sure hope not; I really want her out of my town. :c

I don't think villagers will ping you on an event day, but since Shamrock Day isn't a huge holiday/event like Festival or the Fishing/Bug tourneys, there may be an exception.

Sat is fishing tourney, and Blaire ping me she wana move.
So yap, they will ping during events.

Oh thank god, after I read all this I went in the game to catch her and she is up, BUT NO PING!!!! then I talked to her, she greet me for the Shamrock Day, I saved and quit and entered again and this time, SHE PINGED!! stop her from moving, pheww and now I can celebrate the event my entire day in peace~

Regardless of whatever event, they will always be in boxes on the scheduled date. My old villager Mira was in boxes on Festivale

Never had someone ping on event days before. Meanwhile, Ed moved out on Festivale.

On fishing day, I got pings before the event. None during the event. Then, once I talked to everyone to clear out the fishing results talk, Phoebe pinged to move. I don't know if there'll be any blocks tomorrow, since villagers don't seem to care about Isabelle-led "events." I know you can do PWPs after she leaves the square, which isn't the case on fishing days/major events.
