villager moving help?

i've tried several methods to get hippeux to move. he's been in my town for about 5 or so months on the game.

methods i've tried:
- ignoring him
- talking to him every day normally
- talking to him normally and then ignoring him for a few days
- talking too him too much ( when he has the "..." over his head )
- talking too him too much and then ignoring him for a few days/changing the date ahead 2+ days
- doing tasks for him
- doing tasks and failing them for him
- talking to all my other villagers normally ( three times a day each ) OR ignoring my other villagers + all other methods listed above

soooo.. anyone have any ideas? ;__;

I really think that it's totally random who decides to try and leave from your town.
Talking a lot or ignoring a lot don't always work so it seems to be just luck.

From my experience any time I change the method (ignoring, befriending, hitting with net etc) of what I do to the villager I want to go tends to confuse them and then takes them ages to move. It's best if you stick with one method and eventually they will move but this may take 3 weeks plus if you go day by day.

I've had Klaus in my town since June 12 (3 days after I got the game). He just informed me today that he'll be moving Christmas Day. What a present!! But I've had the same experience. Nothing I tried to get rid of him worked. Not ignoring him, not befriending him, not even when I had 3 of his personality type in town -- the other two kept trying to move, but not Klaus. Friendship level does seem to matter some--it seems like it's the animals I like the most trying to leave most frequently. Julian (same personality as Klaus) has threatened to leave at least 6 times although I talk to him every day, write him letters, and complete most of his favor requests. Other than that, yes, it does seem pretty random. Sorry. :/

Omg i am so sorry you are stuck with this villger. I had the same issue with pietro. I finally tried that trick you see on youtube where you create a second character and the second charcter ignores him after speaking to him once... Worked! But having said that, it didnt work in the next 3 villagers... . I wish you luck!

That video is by thelegendofpeter. For your situation, you have to create another character. Introduce yourself to everyone. Then TT forward. Each day you TT, talk to everyone you want to keep.

It's random who leaves. The other day I was cycling on my gf's 2nd copy of Animal Crossing and Kody moved in from the campsite then moved out like a week later. But then I was trying to get Zucker out and that took months.
