Villager move in question.

Terrible title I know, couldn't figure out how to word my issue properly.

Basically, I've been resetting with only smug villagers moving in (I get that, that's not the problem) but my issue is I've been resetting for TWO days now and haven't seen Julian once. Is this just bad luck (I've never had to reset for this long for any other villager I've wanted) or could there be something preventing me from getting Julian in particular? I've never had him before in this village so it's nothing to do with that, but maybe some other issue I'm not aware of? I've cycled through every other smug villager (with the exception of Erik who's still in my void) at least twice, four times for others but no Julian!

I think it's random.. and you just need to be lucky xD you're probably only getting smug villagers cuz you don't have any smug villagers yet (I think you already know c: ) anyways, if you haven't had Julian in your town before, nothing should be preventing from getting him. You have equal chance of getting him or getting other smug villagers. Just looked it up and looks like there's 31 smug villagers.. so it's 1/31 chance of getting Julian.. >.< good luck!!

Last night I was down to 8 villagers so I was resetting for random move-ins. It's my new town and I was missing Cranky & Snooty and I just kept resetting, and got Chief after a few hours of resetting. I was hoping for Fang or Chief.. anyways, you can do it too xD don't give up!! c:

Thank you! That's what I thought but I started getting worried that it might be something to do with species of something else. I'll just keep trying, thanks!

The same thing happened to me a while back while resetting for Chops(I needed a pig).Every available smug's plot appeared except for his.I was beginning to think he had already lived in this town(my cycling town)because I had bought the cartridge used and wasn't really sure which villagers had been there before but his plot finally showed up late in the second day.

I was wondering if it had anything to do with available house plots maybe? Because there's only a select few free spaces for plots in my village and it's generally the same three spots cycled over and over (with the odd weird placement here and there). Like maybe Julian likes living near a cliff or something and there's no cliff spaces? Haha, I feel like I'm just getting desperate for answers at this point because I'm so super unlucky right now!

Don't worry. Villagers don't have a set place where they want to live. They can live practically anywhere.
