Villager Missing and Megaphone issue?

I was looking for Sprinkle today and since she wasn't in town I decided to save and quit since that resets the animals in a sense and will either put them in their house or in a close proximity to them right after you start up. I've probably saved and quit about 20 times and whenever I try to call her with the megaphone it just puts it down...no bubble that says no reply and no reply from the villager...what's going on? Anyone else have this issue?

Have you checked The Roost, and all of the rooms in the museum?

Yup I've checked thoroughly.

She may be hanging out in another villager's house! Did you check those?
