No his house was literally right next to mine, it didn't block anything actually and it was pretty close to my main char's house.

one time julian moved in......but he was literally rightr in front of the door and i was so pissed off that i recreated the whole town.,...

The best luck I had in my second town was Marshal's plot appearing right after the day of starting. I was afraid that if I exited the software (I went in with a New Save File), I would lose Marshal and get a different villager. His plot was in a good place anyways, so why not?

And I guess the campsite in my very first town was also quite lucky.
I got Diana and Rosie from them :d
