villager just moved out, no one appearing on mystery island?

i had 10 villagers, one of them moved away, his home now says "I've moved out". do i need to TT a day forward (the villager was picked up today) to be able to see new villagers on the mystery islands?

Yes. Villagers won’t appear until the plot is empty the next day.

Also note that once it's empty, if you don't have a new villager invited to said open plot, Tom Nook will fill it for you on the next reset.

you need an empty plot to start farming for villagers.
