I finally got mine all sorted out! Took lots of TTing to move houses but I am so in love with how it looks! And bonus - there's room for two more houses if they ever let us have more villagers!
I've spread out my villager houses across the map in groups of 2, since I wasn't a big fan of arranging them in a grid-like fashion. For example, I have a 'pastel diner' location where Judy and Gayle live, and a 'farming / outdoorsy' area where Dom and Bob live.
