Villager Houses (Interior Design) - Curious Question

I know the starter villagers will have a starter house, which is usually more simple and ugly then what their house actually is if you were to get them from the island or amiibo.

I have had ketup twice. The first time was either she auto moved into my plot as I layed them down or I might have gotten her from the island. I can't remember. She has a kinda simple, but cute house. Flower wall with wooden furniture. I just used her amiboo and am In her house and I was shocked. She now has like an outdooe camping theme. Does anyone know if the villagers just get a random design everytime you put them in the game, or if it depends on how they get on your island, or what her "real" house should look if their is one. I know its not a clitch, because the villager that was there before Ketchup was Chrissy and her house did not look like this.

The first 5 villagers have basic looking houses.
This is because you had to put the furniture down remember? And the first 2 you start with... I guess they're just lazy.
Any villager after that will have their actual houses.

So your first time having her she had the basic starting one, now she has her real house.

Yes, I remember putting furniture down. I just considered the starter villagers the first two you get, so I didn't realize Ketchup had a "starter house". She must have been one of the first five I had.
