Seems that no matter how hard I try and how much I learn, plot resetting is NEVER easy. I?ve been doing it all day to get Teddy to move into a certain spot I reserved for him, but now that I?ve covered with patterns all the other spots the plot was showing up it still won?t go where I want him too. Actually, the plot isn?t showing up at all.

Naturally, the problem must be with the spot itself right? So I need help figuring out what?s wrong. I don?t really understand how to post photos here or how to upload screenshots but I?ll do my best to try to represent it:

It?s near a cliff, but there?s a 1 square distance from it, and that seemed to be okay with Kyle?s house, which is near by and also 1 square distance from a cliff.

My guess is that Teddy just doesn't want to move there. I had a villager who didn't want to move into a couple of spots, but other villagers could move into that spot, so when I opened up another spot for her, she moved into that spot with ease. I think sometimes a villager just doesn't want to go into a particular spot.

I think it’s the curve and try moving the plot either up one or to the left one just to see if it works... Those curves are tricky. And by the way, excellent representation! (I have no idea how to do photos either.)

Wow that really happened? That?s so weird!

I hope that?s not the case with Teddy, I?m very stubborn and specific about where I want villagers to go haha

Thanks! Haha

And yeah, I think it?s probably an issue with the curve. I tried moving the spot a bit to the left, we?ll see how it goes!

I thought villagers may be able to move 1 space from a cliff as they can with a river so I don't think that is the issue but I could be wrong.

I get you. I want all of my dreamies in certain spots and no exceptions xD Luckily all of my dreamies so far have moved into their designated spots with no issues!

Ugggh, such a struggle when they never plots where you want… I hope he moves in a spot you are happy with soon :o

It worked! Oh, what a relief haha

I think it was probably the curve thing. Maybe the houses only need one space from a cliff or river on the sides and on the back, but on the front they need 2 squares of distance. It would make sense so that they could leave their houses more easily I guess.

It was a pain but it was worth it. Thank you everyone for the tips!! :D

I have a villager who has 2 spaces in front of their house and the cliff. The 2 spaces are their doorway and then another space in front of that. I don't think a villager can move into a spot if their doorway was touching a cliff, but they can move in front of a cliff if they have a space in front of their doorway that touches the cliff.
