I just feel like I need to blow off some steam because I am seriously pissed off.

(funny how such a peaceful, nice little game like animal crossing can make me so angry sometimes lol)

Two days ago I had Julian in my campsite and I was really thrilled about it. I mean, who doesn't want a unicorn as a neighbor right?!
But then, because the ac gods hate me probably, his house plot showed up in the most inconvenient place I can think of. I swear to god.
I have my whole town planned out and filled with designs so that the plots will only show up in specific places and I cleared a space for his house but noooo, the game HAD to place it right in front of the plaza on top of my flower patch. I mean, it's so close to the plaza I can't even put frickin' PWPs there!!!

I assume there is nothing that I can do, though I have considered hacking. I am too scared to do it though. I guess I will just harass the poor unicorn until he leaves and try to get over that cute little *******.

Have any of you guys ever been through something like that? And what did you do about it?

It's way too common, I hate that even thought they wont move on top of paths they'll still crush flowers -_- hopefully you find someone as good to replace him, i'm sorry that happened to you! Also welcome to the forums. =D

you are so nice! And yes, I have created this account just to rant about unicorns and city planning hahaha

But I mean, c'mon, did it HAVE to be with Julian? Could've been with anyone else and it would be fine. But the UNiCORN?!
(though it's probably karma from beating Pompom with my net yesterday lol)

I am trying to see if I can work around his house but lord is it going to be difficult. I am very stubborn about the way I plan my town

thanks for the positivity! I needed it haha

I don't know if you use amiibo cards but that's always an option if you REALLY want him back, I'm not sure if adopting amiibo villagers works the same way, but I know that the amiibo cards skip the 16 villager cycle that you'd need to get him back. Hopefully it works out that you can keep him, I know the pain. I had a villager who i had set a plot for who kept going in weird places I didn't know they could fit... if you are worried about a villager plotting weird you can always plot reset (not sure if you know about it or not) so that they can't go somewhere funky. =]

Oh no! I've had villager replacement troubles too. It's really awful when they move into an inconvenient location. Once you complete the 16-villager cycle after Julian moves I'd be glad to give him to you again for free. Plot resetting is a marvelous invention, by the way. ;)

Amiibo cards are not really an option for me because I don't think they sell them in my country, and I've looked online and his card goes for absurd amounts of money.

But the reset thing sounds great! I will definitely try it next time, I'm not going through this much stress again haha
And anyway I was so sure that his plot would appear in the space I reserved for him I didn't even worry about it, the pattern thing has really worked for me so far.

And ThatOneMarshalFangirl, that would be so kind of you!! I've seen that Julian goes for pretty high prices in ac forums, which kinda freaks me out. I will hit you up after I finish the 16 cycle thingy!
And if you have any dream villagers missing or anything like that we can certainly trade! Although by your signature it looks like you already have the coolest villagers in both your towns haha

You're not alone in this - it is funny how Animal Crossing can bring out so much frustration, I've been there. Definitely try plot-resetting or what I did was space my PWPs out systematically on the top half of my town so that no houses will fit there. All my neighbours are forced to move along the cliff and wall of my town. This takes a lot of planning but is worth it.

This gives a good idea of space requirements around PWPs if you don't already know :) (the 'extra space' cannot overlap with another object's 'extra space')

Also, with the Welcome Amiibo update placing patterns on the ground lowers the chance of a villager plotting there (I don't want to say it works 100% because people have reported neighbours building on top anyway, but if you have other space open in town, they probably will go there)

Welcome as well!

LITERALLY JUST HAPPENED TODAY. THANK YOU, GRUFF. THANK YOU GANON. THANK YOU BOTH FOR DESTROYING MY FLOWERS AND TREES. I HATE BOTH OF YOU.

That's a great idea! I thought about doing that too, actually, one of the most annoying elements of this story is that just yesterday I was going to place an illuminated tree where his house plot showed up, so all of this could've been avoided.
I didn't do it 'cause I wasn't really sure, but now I guess I'll have to wait for him to leave haha

And yeah, Animal Crossing is usually very relaxing for me, but every now and then something happens that drives me crazy. The latest before the whole Julian situation was when I found out that I can't place PWP near the Plaza (what's up with that by the way??).

But after the rage fades I start remembering the reasons why I love this game so much. I mean, this is my first time on this website and everyone has been so nice to me already and I feel like you only get this kind of community with a game like this.
Thanks everyone for the help! :D

And I feel you, Petey. And it's extra annoying when it's a villager you actually like, I just felt so betrayed
