I thought they meant Villagers, not characters..

Huh, I don't think I've ever come across a list of them. Maybe we should all try to take pictures of our villagers' homes?

I tried to start making one during summer break, when I had more free time, but now that I'm busier, it can be hard to even play AC:NL at all as much as I want to -- let alone do this side project of villager house exteriors. I also echo the sentiment of mariop476; something like this would be great as a collective effort, but it's difficult as a solo project, having to track down villagers in dream towns or reset an extra gamecard over and over (both of which I've done).

This is what I started to do; I only got through my collection of normals and peppies (and even the normals and peppies are incomplete):
