Villager Home Placement

I been doing this trick i heard of for placing your villagers homes where you want them to be when they are moving in. I been doing it to random villagers coming to my town and every time i reset its a new villager moving in.

So my question is, if you go pick up a moving villager to move to your town, and u don't like the placement of the home, then u reset will the same villager be moving in again or will a new one move in like the random villagers do?

I'm a little nervous of risking it. If anyone tried this trick please help thanks c:

If you adopt a villager or get one from wifi/streetpass the plot will always be that specific villager.
Only random moveins are, well, random.
Go ahead and plot reset!

Villagers 9 and below will be a random villager every reset.
However if the villager has been asked to move to your town from wifi/campsite, not random.
Unexpected Wifi/Streetpass villagers, not random.
You can only get the 10th villager by wifi/streetpass or from your campsite. (However using the campsite reset is useful)
