I was wondering, am I the only one who imagines some of his villagers speaking with a specific voice? I mean, yeah, we got the Animalese blurbs, but have you ever heard a villager speak in a very specific voice?

For me, I hear Walker talk just like Butters from South Park, and I hear Maelle speak in a deep, nasally voice. OF course, I hear Kapp'n speak with a 200% Scottish accent, and KK Slider with this suave, deep voice. if you've watched the Game Grumps play Amiibo Festival, the guy that was playing as KK, that's the exact voice I hear him speak in.

So, anyone else hear people speak in a distinct voice?

You're not alone!
I can't put my finger on who any of them sound like, but they all kind of remind me of people I know personally in real life now. My two cranky villagers in particular :)

Jacques and Chadder have thick French accents (though Jacques sounds more like he has a deeper/raspier voice than Chadder, who sounds like a polite kid), Fang has a Russian accent, and Victoria has a Southern American accent.

Well, i never had any specific ones for my villagers but i made i headcanon voice list for my villagers

Teddy: Roy Koopa from Super Mario Bros.
Pietro: Krusty the Clown from The Simpsons
Phoebe: Misty from Pokemon
Julian: (Never thought about it)
Aurora: Fluttershy from My Little Pony
Puck: Milhouse from The Simpsons
Ruby: Pinkie Pie from My Little Pony
Celia: (Hadn't thought about it)
Avery: Discord from My Little Pony

As far as my villagers go, Punchy sounds like Nermal from The Garfield Show, Moose sounds like Boss from Hamtaro, and for some reason Shari sounds like Mickey Mouse XD

What an interesting thread!
Two, well 3 maybe are very strong for me - Mable has what I think of as a Southern state American way of speaking - it is so strong I actually 'hear' her speech in that accent - difficult to know for sure as I live in the UK and my experience of American accents is the movies/TV.
Tom Nook has a distinctive way of speaking I also hear out loud but I can't place the accent.

The only villager that I have this reaction to is Katt - who to me has a very distinctive Cockney accent/East End of London. She's the opposite of 'posh' and seems to be into rock music.
She reminds me of Toyah Wilcox, albeit she isn't a Cockney. But similarities, both strong women. And yes Katt is one of my favourites.
