Villager Genders - You thought was...?

The whole time I thought Tangy was a boy! I just found Tangy in a dream and to my shocking surprise, is a girl! Man I feel stupid haha. She just looks so much like a boy to me. I thought she was like a Jock or something, not a peppy lol.

Any villager surprised you like this?

I did think Beardo was going to be Cranky when I saw him the first time in one of my old towns and I was genuinely creeped out when I found out he is smug (He kinda reminds me of my dad so I really prefered "Annoyed fatherly big guy" to "Flirty young man" for him). And I think I genuinely had a fit of laughter when I found Static in my Campsite and heard the Cranky voice come out of what I tought was Marshal?s purple smug cousin!

Yeah that's how stupid I feel because I never ran into Tangy pffff. I've only been a fan of Animal Crossing since July last year.

If I'm ever unsure about a villagers gender then I just talk to them, if they sound a girl it's a girl and if it sounds like a boy it's a boy. Oh there's also the whole Pink name box = Girl and Blue name box = Boy thing (I really hope I didn't come off as rude with that last bit)

I thought Twiggy was a boy up until she moved to my son's town ........ I don't know.... I just never payed much attention to her/him/it ......... then she moved, and I was like ......whoa wait Twiggy is a girl?????? My son was like yeah .... she always was.... One I forgot to mention is my friends used to think Robin was a boy. Specially one of my friends kept forgetting over and over again. He always seemed to forget every time I told him. He wasn't doing it to annoy me, he literally just kept forgetting every time. LOL
