Villager from void

Good evening. One of my villagers (Shep) is moving today and I'd like to give him to a friend, but one of his villagers (Peck) moved out yesterday and was not adopted. In this case, will I run the risk of catching the Peck case if my friend visit me to pick up my Shep?

I don't know, but regardless the safest thing to do is to have him clear the void by having him visit a town with 10 villagers. Then I believe you will be safe.

If you have 9 villagers there is a risk. I had someone drop off an order and I got Rodney as a 10th

Yep, you should be safe so long as she takes this precaution.

Just wondering, is it the same if I have a 2nd town of my own available to void that new 10th villager into myself?

eg.
I have 9 villagers and want to WiFi with someone.

I pick up someone in my 10th slot from the WiFi session because other person didn't void.

I visit my 2nd town directly and pass that 10th villager onto that town.

Will that work? Also assuming I don't care who lives in my 2nd town, will it work regardless of whether 2nd town has 8, 9 or 10 villagers? Or do I then risk picking someone up from my 2nd town? -_-
And lastly, does passing on stored villagers happen regardless of who is visiting whom?

Hmmm, I've never really had that happen to me before. I don't think it would work because they would be in your void pool with the possibility of moving IN rather than just moving OUT.

But I do know that passing on villagers is not guaranteed to happen. I think that for it to have a chance of working, you need to go to the person's town that voided a villager. After that, they come to yours and you might get the villager. That's actually how I rescued Bam from the void from another town.

It gets a bit confusing though because you can get voided villagers from Streetpass if you have that enabled.

If you get a new villager to move in quick enough, then their voided villager probably won't move in. They won't move in right away the next day anyway, so you still have plenty of time.
Oh, and if you're really that worried about it, then you can always TT to keep the time on the following day until you get a villager you want.

That's only if you're willing to TT though.
