villager friendship question

so, does anyone know if my friendship will go down with a villager if i give them the wrong item/bug/etc? i was planning on getting Diana a specific bug but it won't show up; now i'm thinking on giving her a different bug, but will my friendship go down if i do? (i probably should've denied the request just to be safe)

I don't know.
I only do fruit requests, and that's rare for me. (Isn't going to be anyone's slave.)

I would never give them a bug or fish to be kept in a tiny tank in their houses - forever.

They can't even feed themselves, let alone a pet.

Animals keeping animals as pets.

The fact that you try to give them some item *should* raise friendship.

That is....if they will accept the other bug or fish.

When they ask for a specific bug or fish they may only accept the exact item they request.

These villagers are picky! (They should appreciate us more)

Hmm, I'm not sure. I have given the wrong items to my villagers in the past... but they don't stay upset for long. I've even missed appointments with them! I usually send them a letter with a gift in the mail. It helps them feel warm and fuzzy again! I have also been more careful with what requests I accept - there are just some items that I cannot get for them. I rather disappoint them upfront then for them to say, "Hey you forgot!"
