Hi, I've been having an issue, I have 3 unwanted villagers in my town that I really dislike and I've been ignoring for the longest time (2-3 weeks) and they've never asked me to leave, and when they do and I say "hey good luck cya" they change their mind like "nahh I think you're really cool and we should hang out", which is completely aggrivating since I really want them gone so I can get new and better villagers with better personality types, yet they never want to leave. Am I doing anything wrong?

if that ever happens again (they ask you to move and when you agree they say "never mind i'm staying"), you can always quit without saving and load up again. they asked that day to move, and that hasn't changed so just hunt them down again, and when they ping you to move again, you can try saying no again. if they try to stay again, just repeat the cycle until they finally are like "ok yeah i'm leaving then thankkkss"
after you've got them to say they'll move, don't talk to them ever again until moving day, or else they may bring up the fact that they're moving and they might do the whole "nahh we gotta be better friends i guess- i'm staying" thing again

I've always found that becoming best friends with a villager you hate makes them move out sooner. Being friends with them also keeps them from backing out on moving when you say it's okay for them to.
My tip is 1. When a "nightmarey" (not dreamie arent a smart ) pings you save and continue if its to move get out and get back in and igore themthey're moving no matter what ( bc theyll never be able to run it by you so theyll just move.)

Yeah you need to befriend them for them to ping them to leave the town. It's really stupid, but whatever. I almost always have the same three villagers (highest best friend rating) ask to move all the time. It doesn't make sense in gaming logic. It's like your neighbor deciding they wanted a change of scenery after moving fifteen days because the two of you are great friends.

They should make the next game (or update) where the higher the friendship level, the less likely they will want to move rather than the other way around. I think it would be a cool idea since most of our towns would be ruined if they moved out.
