Do you ever take into account a villager's disliked (and liked) style when you redecorate their homes? Or do you just pick whatever items you think will look nice? There's a villager whose house I'm thinking about changing, but items that I think would fit her are all of her disliked style, so I'm curious to know what everyone thinks.

I was asking if you consider it when you give a villager new furniture or if you just choose what you like (like you said in your last paragraph).

Yea I do. I do it because a) they're more likely to display the item I give them since they like the style and b) it usually fits them better.
E.g Bob likes colourful stuff best, so when he asks for furniture I usually give him something from the balloon set (I have no use for it) because it fits the wallpaper and carpet in his house.

I agree that they're more likely to display it (but it's still possible to get villagers to display things in their disliked style) but sometimes it's debatable whether it fits them better. It really depends on the villager, their design, and what you associate their design with.
