Villager Discussion: Julian

Welp, the creep is finally moving out of Pandora, thank God. So I thought I'd start a discussion over him, 'cause why not. I never liked him personally, I thought his eyes were weird. I usually love blue, but something about his design was really obnoxious, I can't explain why. But really it's just the eyes...I really can't stand his eyes. I was pretty displeased when I saw he was my first random move in, but thought that maybe he'd grow on me eventually...

He never did. He didn't seem to like me much either, so him moving is best for the both of us lol. Anyway, what do y'all think of him?

He's my favorite villager in my town, because horses/unicorns are life.

He's a smug, isn't he? I found smug personalities really awkward at first, the flirting just feels weird coming from animals lol. But I've never had Julian. I quite like his design although I'm not sure how I feel about his eyes constantly being closed. He just looks like a fab, sassy member of a boy band or something.

I usually love unicorns and stuff related but I have never liked Julian. I don't even know why. When I found out there was a unicorn in acnl I was hoping for a white female unicorn like in The Last Unicorn but instead got a bright blue eyesore. I'm also not a huge fan of smugs so that probably doesn't help. The only smugs I've ever really liked were Eugene because he's a cute greaser and Rodney because he's fat and he always looks like he's in pain.

he's cute, but i've never had him in my town. i like that he's unique and is a unicorn instead of just a horse.
i feel like some people kinda over play him though and lets not forget to mention that odd creepy "juilian theory" that was posted on tbt a while ago and it was just a huge pile of "what the actual ****"

i personally think that julian is really cute. his color scheme is lovely, i like his pretty always-closed eyes, and i like that he's a unicorn.
that being said, the really big heads on the horses kind of scare me for some reason

I love him! He was the first smug I ever had in my town and I was heartbroken when he moved. Luckily, I got his amiibo card randomly and was able to move him back in.

Coincidentally I just got him in my town after seeing him in the campsite (thank god too because I've been lacking a smug villager). He's cute and I like his house but I've never had him before so I can't really say that much about him. I can see both why people would love and dislike him though.

I don't like him. It's super cool that he's a unicorn and a smug, but I'm not crazy about his design? Like, why couldn't he be all white?

I've never liked him.
I have no problem with the smug personality, but just... the dialogue mixed with his appearance just threw me over the edge. I really can't stand him, I don't even know why.

I think the fact that he's a unicorn makes him special and unique. Although, I would have preferred a different design for a unicorn villager. Mostly it's just his perma closed eyes that bother me, but I probably would have enjoyed a female unicorn more.

He's not really one of my favorite villagers, and even though I adore smugs, he's not even my favorite smug. He's a dreamie in my second town just for the fact that he's a unicorn and it's a fairytale themed town.

I feel like he was pretty popular in the early day of New Leaf, but I personally never cared for him. I'm not completely crazy about many of the smug villager designs, and Julian sorta fits under that category. I don't really like the blues, I'm not really fond of his closed eye. The unicorn villager is a nice touch to the game, though, I really hope we get another one in a future game.

I liked him at first especially since he fitted my star named village but the smug personality... Uuurgh I avoided talking to him in the end. Poor guy. Now he moved to another town.

I think he is really cute tbh, I like smug and his colours and his house was awesome at one point

not a fan. I dislike basically every smug except Tex and Zell, so there's what my taste in smug villagers is.
my friend had Julian in her town for quite a while and... I dunno. he never seemed like anything special to me. I know, I know, he's the only horse that was made to be a unicorn. but... so what? lol
I dunno, that's just how I feel about him!
