Hello. :] So, in the last 24-hours or more, I've managed to convince two of my villagers that I didn't like to leave and already had the first one move out completely. I'm currently waiting on a trade that will take place later, for Rosie. Once she's in my town, I'll have 2 peppies, 2 lazies, 2 crankies, 1 smug, 1 snooty, 2 normals (one of whom will be leaving soon). I'm planning on getting rid of my smug once I get all of his public works projects suggestions. I wanted to do that with all of them (though, I got impatient with the jock and uchi and got rid of them before I got all of their suggestions). I really like both of my lazies and crankies and am reluctant to get rid of any of them: Gaston, Harry (who is from a friend's town), Erik (a camper); Punchy is my other lazy but he's staying, no questions asked.

So, while I'm waiting for Gladys, the normal villager that I want to leave; to pack up and go, I'm trying to decide what villagers I want to get and of what personalities. It would have been cool to have an all cat town since I love cats, but I love Puddles and there are other animals that I wouldn't mind having. The "problem" I'm facing now is the fact that all of the villagers I want for sure are of the same personality type ~ peppy. I'd like to have Dotty ~ since I had her in Wild World and I vaguely remember liking her a lot, though I didn't play the game anywhere as much as I have been playing ACNL. Rosie, Merry and Felicity I liked and wanted the minute I saw their pictures. As much as I love cats and the peppy/cranky/lazy personalities, I'm thinking that having a mostly peppy villager town would not be as fun or interesting as having a more diverse town would be. What does everyone think?

I've been looking at villager pictures of other personalities and I honestly can't find as many villagers I like in one of the other personality groups as I like in the peppy, lazy, cranky groups. None of the uchi villagers stand out to me; not sure if I like any in the smug group; jock ~ I'm leaning towards Drift, though I'm hesitant still.

I definitely had/have the same problem picking villagers. For me it's normal and peppy. If I were just choosing based on design I'd probably have only these 2 personalities in my town. However at one point I had 4 normals in my town and was planning to keep all of them. The problem was I got really bored with talking to them and it became a chore to visit my villagers everyday. I'd also forget which one of them had asked me to do a chore. I eventually realized that having more than 2 of any personality was too much for me.

Anyways I eventually just went with my favourite of each personality (minus jock) and have a lot more fun playing that way. I'd rather have fun talking to my villagers even if 5 normals and 5 peppies would be cuter to look at. I might even end up dropping someone to get a jock because I enjoy variety so much.

So along the same lines I'd probably stick with only 1 peppy cat. I had Mitzi and Lolly at one point and they were too similar to me.

i had like 5 snooty villagers at once and it was an issue omg
eventually i just kicked most of them out and kept like two :/
