Very strange problem (glitch?)

So I time traveled, and Curly finally pinged me. He was mad, and though I would stop him from moving, but nope. I hate him with all my heart.
He said he was gonna move the 23rd of September, so I time traveled to that day, and... he's not in boxes.
It's like he never even said anything about moving. This made me really pissed of course...

...since the same thing happened yesterday, too.
He told me he would move, but when I time traveled to that date, he's still wandering outside with his net in his hand, all happy and stuff.

It only happens with Curly, too. Everyone else moves when I tell them to, but not Curly.

What is his problem, why won't he move? Has this happened to anyone else?

Maybe he has left but all thats left is his spirit wandering your town forever.....

But that's kinda weird? Does he say he might rethink it or will stay when he pings you? If he does maybe try and find out if he'smovign form another villager and ignore him then tt to the date? If not then idk man thats pretty weird

If he is telling you that he changed his mind and he wants to stay to improve your friendship, even tho you told him to leave, he will stay. Villagers tend to change their mind, is a random stuff. To avoid this problem, when the villager that you want to get rid of change his mind, simply reset the game and then talk to him again and tell him to leave until he agree. Good luck

what he thinks is best for him is to stay in your town to bother you forever!!
Okay but it sounded like he was thinking over it so he might not have left then for that reason so like I said maybe just ignore him if you find out he wants to leave and he should leave

It sounds like he changed his mind? If he got angry at you for accepting him moving, that dialogue was probably him telling you he wasn't going anywhere. Normally if they accept you telling them to leave they will be quite calm and seemingly happy about it

I would also recommend just ignoring him if he asks you to move again, if it looks like he hasn't accepted it, just turn off without saving and he will leave on the date he planned

You can solve this problem by resetting after it is confirmed that he will leave and time travel to that date. It's guaranteed that he will be in boxes for sure. I do this too many times.

Oh, if only I knew this earlier. Will try to force him out tomorrow too, then.
