So this weird situation has sprung up and I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else...

About a month ago, Velma was voided from my friend's town. Since then, my friend has wi-fi'd with several people- probably at least a dozen times, including visiting my main town (which has 10 villagers) and my husband's town, which only had 9 villagers.

Then on Monday, Velma showed up in my husband's town. She definitely came from my friend's town and mentioned it by name. Do you know why she would have shown up weeks after she was sent to the void?

So puzzled...

I had that with Mallary. I had done wifi connections with a whole bunch of people since voiding her, including some streetpasses to what looked like new players, so I assumed she had to be gone. I let someone in like a week later, he gets my Mallary's plot in his town the next day. He wasn't too happy about it either...

I don't believe villagers ever get perma-deleted until someone else picks them up. As for why you don't always get the voided villager when you visit with a free space... perhaps it's like a percentage chance even if you have a space.

This has definitely happened a few times that I've seen.

I think voided villagers stay in a kind of limbo instead of completely disappearing.

Phew, I'm not alone! (But I'm sorry that guy got a surprise mallary) I never thought of just having a percentage chance of getting a voided villager... Sounds reasonable!

It's a bit different from what happened to you, but the other day me and my cousin were playing together.
She was trying to get rid of a villager so she could have Phoebe who was moving out of my town. We took turns time traveling to try and evict someone. I finally got Bubbles out after 3 hours of work.

I time traveled to the next day after she had gotten Phoebe and Bubbles had moved in 4 spaced down from my house...
I hate Bubbles. >:/

Hmm... had anyone else moved out after Velma? I'm not sure if moving out after changes that happening, but it might.

I think that she had one more move out after Velma but I'm not sure... I'll have to ask her...

I've heard of this happening, but not after an entire month. Most of the times it's just after a couple days.

The mystery continues... My friend says that she had another villager voided after Velma. Velma is truly mighty to withstand that too...

I took pleasure driving Velma out of my town. She was testy one too many times with my humans.

I don't think she was "too strong" for the void. Maybe she was just riding the train for weeks until she found the perfect town :)

Well... you know how goats can stand on edges without falling so maybe she just hanged on to dear life until she found a new place :P
