Using Wendell...

Ok, two questions: is it possible for a side character (that hasn't unlocked the QR machine yet) to use Wendell to get new patterns in Dream Towns? That way it saves a bit of a hassle TT'ing to get the machine...

Secondly, if you can do this, does anyone have a town (or know of a town) with Wendell, with paths like these?: (below)

I have those paths in my town haha. Unfortunately Wendell only carries patterns that were originally created in that town, so you'd have to visit the dream town of the person who created them, and hope they have those patterns available.
