A while back, I saw someone made a topic about using lazy villagers in campsites to make more money off of beetles. That trick is indeed better because you get more Bells, but this one works too, especially if there's no lazy villager in your campsite or town.

Here's how you do it:
When you go to the island, catch as many beetles as you can. I'd recommend catching the ones that are worth more(gold stags, horned hercules, etc.)

Go back to your town and walk around to see if a villager pings you to buy it. If a villager doesn't ping, use the diving trick or remain idle for 5 min. on the beach and try again. So far, every time a villager has pinged me to buy my beetles, and it's always more than what they normally cost. For example, Merengue wanted to buy my Goliath beetle, which normally sells for 6,000(8,000 if you have the Bell Boom Ordinance). She bought it for 10,800 Bells.

I've tried this on many villagers, and so far they've all been successful attempts. Let me know what you guys think.

Yes, I know. That's why I only use it when there aren't any lazy campers in my campsite for long periods of time.
Yeah but this one only earns you less bells then the other. So that's why I wait for a lazy.

I typically avoided this method cuz it uglifies their houses with bugs xD I'm a stickler for keeping their houses themed to my liking lol

This is a nice idea but it'd totally ruin the inside of their houses. Also...all the time spent trying to get a ping, you could've just caught a ton more beetles, possibly making more money that way.

Never knew you could do that. I'd prefer to not mess up my villagers interiors, though.
