So. Last time pekoe asked to leave I said yes. My boyfriend wanted her to I TTd to the box date. Go to check she's not in boxes ._.

So she pinged again, I told him. Went to her box date. No Isabelle message. No boxes. And she won't mention moving?

What is going on? does this mean she will never move? Am I going to have to reset to get rid of her? ;-;

If it's relevant, I got her from the campsite.

Are you sure she didn't change her mind after you told her yes? I've heard that normals' dialogue can be ambiguous about whether they're actually leaving or not

I'm about 90% sure :/ but it's happened twice.. So I have no idea if this is a weird glitch or? u.u
I hadnt spoken to her. She pinged. Told my bf then went to her 'moving date' but it wasn't even her moving date.
Maybe you're right.. But I'm so sure she said yes I'm going to move D:

Okay so Erik just pinged.

Do you remember what she said exactly?

I think the lower your friendship level, the more likely they are to change their minds about moving -- are you good friends with her or not so much?

If she wasn't changing her mind then it does sound like a weird glitch.

Not exactly. But the normal "yes I thought you'd understand" thingy
I wasn't high friendship level.

@vannila OMG WHAT HAPPENED? DID YOU FIX IT?

Okay so a post on gamefaqs said they CAN infact change their mind without your knowledge. Maybe I'm just being paranoid?

Can you link to the gamefaqs post?

If they can change their minds without telling you, it must be a really rare thing, and I don't think that's supposed to happen?

Yeah, if that's the same thing Pekoe said then she changed her mind. It does sound rather ambiguous haha.

Thanks for the link, that doesn't really sound like proof enough to me though, it's possible that person was having the same problem you were. I haven't heard of it happening to anyone else.

Next time she pings to move you remember the date and quit without saving. The fact that she is moving is already set in stone then and you know the date, and since you didn't save she must be moving on the given date anyway.

Yup, this works well. I would do this all the time in my Japanese game. Since I don't read the language, I knew they were pinging to move (because of the date), but couldn't tell whether the dialog was one where they would be changing their minds - so I would quit without saving. When I got back into the game to complete that day's playing, I would just ignore that particular villager's ping and on every other day (since I didn't TT) until their moving date.
