Urgent question about the Campsite

I know that you are guaranteed to get a camper the day after the campsite's completion, but has anyone used that to their advantage to get one of their dreamies? My friend tried, and he told me that it was going well at first, but he suddenly started to get Claudia over and over again after a fairly small number of resets. I think he may have subconsciously loaded his mayor character, as I did it once accidentally while plot resetting, but. If anyone has used the reset trick with a new campsite, can you please offer feedback about how many resets you think it took, or if you encountered the same problem? I'm going to get my final dreamie, Ken, from doing this, and I want to know what I'm doing.

i haven't done it the day after (i didn't know this) but i've campsite reset to get dreamies. it's really, really boring, it's probably gonna take a long time since the villager you get is random and there's like 300 of them

i never got repeated campers, and i didn't count resets because i was watching tv while doing it, so i can't be specific with how long it took

I'm more than ready to reset 300+ times. I used to campsite reset excessively in my old town.
