Urgent Please!! Error occurred during trade.

I didn't do any wifi-switching though. I just went in and out. I wouldn't want to do that either because it doesn't benefit me in anyway, as in I'm not receiving my payment.
I know you didn't flip the wifi, but I mean you got an error while it was saving, which is the same thing flipping the wifi does.

All it would take is your Internet bugging out right at the saving point xC I'm quite convinced you didn't flick the switch, but your Internet might've broke while you were saving.
 
If this is what happened, then the game should not have been saved for either of you, meaning she should still have the bells. While I can't deny the small possibility that something really went wrong and the bells are lost, it seems highly likely that she scammed you. Maybe she took advantage of the timing of the error, or maybe she flicked the wifi switch right before you got on the train.

Personally, I would confront her with this and ask her to send you back the TBT bells one more time.

I'm wondering though; did you check her wifi rating before trading with her? I'd deem the chance of this being a scam even higher if she had no or very few positive ratings.

Edit: Oh, I see this just got more complicated than I thought.

I received a reply from the administrator, and it appears there's not really anything that can be done other than that we compromise. It's a hard solution to do, because I lost something, and received nothing. She received something, but also lost something.

I don't want to be the awkward one here, but if you want to leave, go ahead. We're trying to resolve this problem, and a scam was the first theory (and most common) that popped into mind. We were just brainstorming solutions. However, I am glad that you filled in your point of view. It's clear now that this was a Nintendo/Game Save issue more than anything else.

It didn't save on your end but it saved on Pennifer's. This is one of the bad endings of the duplication glitch.

Note I love game glitches, specially Animal Crossing. This is how I know. But I am not expert on this glitch, but I know that's one of the outcome that can even happen unexpectedly. It's happened to two members before on tbt while doing a trade.

Please both of you calm down. It was no one's fault. No one is a scamer.

xiaonu: I know you feel terrible and cheated in a way, but it was not The Pennifer's fault. As I said it was a game glitch. If I were you I would say sorry to The Pennifer and apologies. Seriously, The Pennifer didn't sell your bells. I doubt.

VM me with the total amount of bells, your Timezone, and hours you're available.

Look, the circumstances in the first post made it look like she was scammed. It wasn't a personal attack, just a plausible thing to have happened based on the original information. I did not see your post while I was writing mine, so I edited my post afterwards. I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings, because that wasn't my intention!

@Chibi~ Thank you for clarifying this. I had this happen to me once with a friend, we were skyping so I witnessed it. I trust Penny's word. She has great feedback too and she is very kind. I wish she would not be so defensive. I did not state many times I want the bells. I only mentioned it once, in my last PM which she stopped replying to. I asked her for solutions too, and it was her suggestion to see if others had this problem, so I decided to make a thread for advice about it. ^^ Also, I already apologised to her in a PM way before I made this thread.

Calming down now, but was very hurt by all the accusations and attacks. It's hard to be trashed when it is undeserved and I have enjoyed a good reputation on the forum up until now. It is really unfair!
It is true that I received "something" 300 TBTs which I immediately paid to Flop for the balance owing on my Blue Letter debt.
And I did lose something ... 4.5 mill bells into thin air apparently, but I can repay that amount but wanted to make sure that I was not being scammed and perhaps the balance would be there on the following day.
Justin advised me to try to come to a compromise, which is what I would have done if the next day revealed no bells in her account. I no longer have TBTs to pay those back as I was doing everything I could to build them up in order to buy the Belltree Forum Collectible.
Just very very sad

I completely understand. You don't have to pay them back, because I feel really bad you lost all of it, completely gone. I will still check tomorrow but my doubt is kicking in. I also restarted my game like you suggested and it still wasn't there. :c

No one is going to think of you any different nor a scammer, it was all a misunderstanding.
I know you feel disrespected, but don't feel bad, we all make mistake and have a bad day. This is one of them sadly.

I have even felt disrespected on tbt before. But honestly its a really good forum, one of the kindest I have been on so far. Don't feel judged by it, by one black thorn.

You weren't TRASHED at all. Myself and others just expressed the possibility of a scam considering the situation and the fact that you said there could be a delay (which was fishy and did sound like what a scammer would say to get a person off their back). No one insulted or bashed you, we just put the possibility out there because it was a very possible one. It was more likely that she got scammed than you did, considering you had recieved the TBT bells. Understand the situation from the point of view of an outsider.

That said, sorry if you felt hurt.

I surely hope the bells show up,but it sounds as if they disappeared into the unexplainable void of Nintendo thin air ... Regarding the bells, I don't mind repaying them but for sure wouldn't do the 45 bag pick up again! Lol maybe we could try the Retail method ... Might be safer ... It's not as if I don't have an abundance of bells, it was just that I wanted to make sure they didn't "magically" show up the next day ... Going to try and have a good rest of the night !

Thank you for being so patient and understanding. I want to apologize again. I will let you know if they do show up or not at all tomorrow. Could you explain the retail method to me? I've never heard of it/done this method. If anything I'll video record the entire trade to see that it goes correctly, haha. :P But you don't need to pay them back. Everyone rest well.
