I was wondering because I just picked up a villager from another town and wanted to plot reset her house. I have no time to do it today or tomorrow. I was wondering if time travelling to stay in the same day will affect her if she moves in or not ?

Sorry if doesn't make sense :/

yes, as long as you keep your town on the current day you will be fine. your town resets to a new day at 6am, which is when the villager would move in and set their plot. if you don't have time to reset, i think the safest way is to note down the date right now and then the next time you want to play and set her plot, change your 3DS time and date (not the one in animal crossing, but the date in system settings) to the time and date you wrote down. that way the game will think no time has passed.

Okay so she will definitely come even if i stay on the same day for a while?

yep, if you've talked to her and she says she will move in then she will come once a day has passed (: even if you TT to keep yourself on the same day for a while. once i stayed on the same "day" in animal crossing for almost an entire week to keep a villager in boxes and they still moved out the next day, so i'm positive you will be fine, there's no way to undo a move in.

You don't need to change your DS date, it works with AC date too, since it doesn't save before you change the date and time, it won't start the new day!

this is true, if you remember the in game day you can just change the time with isabelle before you load your town ^^ i always do the ds date just because i can double check it by going into my game records and seeing the last time i played animal crossing, so then i can be sure to load the right day (had a lot of TT accidents in the past lol). but if you note down the actual in-game date you could do it that way instead!
