It depends, if you are BUYING something, use the buying tag, if you are SELLING something use the selling tag. Like in that topic where you asked someone to get you an item trough TT'ing, you used the giveaway tag, that wasn't a giveaway, you should have used the buying tag there.
By keep using the giveaway tag people think you host one, it's not that hard, of you have nothing to give away, don't use the tag

And one more thing, if you are not sure if you want to sell something for a certain price than don't agree on it. And if you DO agree on a trade follow trough with it, even if someone gives you a better offer.
Telling Luckypinch she could buy your golden tools and than back out of it is incredibly rude. People think you will sell it and on the last moment you won't.
If someone makes you an offer and you are not sure yet if you agree on it or not tell them "I don't know yet, I have to think about it" That is better than saying yes to something you won't do in the end.
