Urge to eat my turnip

Turnips can be cooked like potatoes. actually people make "mashed potatoes" out of them sometimes.
Speaking of which, I feel like mine kinda looks like a potato.

I bought turnip seeds to plant this year out of curiosity and to bait slugs away from cabbage I plan to plant.
