Updated Nook's Variants?

I know one of the complaints I've seen alot is that if you don't sign up for online you can't get all the variants because Nook's only carries one of them. Today though my nooks is selling the white wall mounted tv, but until now the red one was sold at my Nooks, can you now get all of the catalogue through Nooks?

I think someone mentioned that one of the displays has a random chance of showing a variant. I think the left most display.

that might be it, but would be the right most one if so, since thats where the tv showed up
