Update Data?

So I recently found out that there was an option in the home screen to update data and I clicked on it. Afterwards, it updated my game but I have no idea what it updated and I see no change in my game. I could not find anything when I google it so I was wondering if anybody knows what it did?

If it was the more recent one it basically made it hack proof or something, that's if I remember clearly. Might have been the last update, i haven't played today so IDK if there is a new one.

I was considering getting a powersave for a couple of reasons but I come to think that it's a very bad idea. I don't want to corrupt all my hard work and lose my save file. Plus as a loyal Nintendo fan it would be very disrespectful to everyonew if I hacked ACNL. I'll just bum some hacked items off some someone else lmao

I always wondered the same thing. I figured it was patches or something but it would be nice if they gave release notes so we knew exactly what was being updated

I have never used this option as it said I was Up-To-Date every time I clicked on it...

A powersave backs up a cartridge, so if something randomly goes wrong, you can just reload your save. No real risk of losing anything.

I highly doubt powersaved bells/villagers/items would screw up your game. With how popular powersave is, I think there would be more known issues if that was the case.

Maybe there might they're trying to implement connectivity between the Happy Home Designer game that's coming out?
