Unpopular Opinions: Entertainment

You kinda missed the point, I don't care if you know my music or not I assure you would. People assume music nowadays is trash without even the slightest bit of looking, something that's inexcusable in the modern information era. Also people who glorify the music of the past fail to realize that the radio was cluttered with trash songs, and the ones that they use to support their theory, that music from the past is inherently better, is one album out of the other thousands that time forgot bc they sucked.

Not really. Some people might ignore the facts that there might be good bands nowadays. some not. As for my part, they were better and while the originality can be discussed they certainly did better than today regardless of genre and if they were more known or not. Also why is that inexcusable? At least pointing it out like that, like they don't know a thing. Also people who like their indie bands nowadays tend to be a bit trashing because you don't know them and put it like we don't know because they are local. Also not everyone go look up stuff or follow music blogs.

Also I'd say the past were way better as for "radio trash" at least it was more "musically trash" than today. And whether it was a one-hit wonder or Rolling Stones it had way better arranged lyrics/beats than today.

People making baseless assumptions about today's media when access to said media is easier than ever in modern history is inexcusable imo. Also you're making assumptions that I follow music blogs or am involved in my local music scene, both of which are completely wrong tbh. Nor am I criticizing people who don't like obscure music, I'm criticizing those who glorify the past but ignore the present.

Every decade has incredible music and absolute trash music. He's a primary source, a Queen song from the early 80s about how old music was good and new music is bad. (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=azdwsXLmrHE) For some reason some people have the need to put older music on a pedestal and claim it's inherently better when it's not. And don't get me wrong, I love older music, some of my fave albums are from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s but that doesn't discredit the worth of today's music.

I know, I was just shocked to see you disguised yourself so well with turtle gifs
I used to be mayoravalon, Avalon, marie, and now this lmao

cussing and graphic violence pleases me in movies and TV shows. I also don't mind nudity. I guess stuff like Gone Girl would be an example of a movie like that. Sure it's not necessary, but makes the show and characters seem more real. As long as it isn't blatantly excessive, as I feel it is in game of thrones

Sure sounds like you are all keeping up with the modern sounds regardless if what you do. Also, a lot of modern bands try to sound either really old are try to appeal to everyone, and most do it really bad, IMO. For me individually there is just something with oldies that make me feel and they have a certain things. And sure there are very few modern acts that I feel have the same that I can relate to, a lot are just really bad.

I don't really ignore it either, I just find it worse than earlier decades.

- I don't actively dislike Breaking Bad or the Walking Dead, but I'm just so disinterested by them I haven't bothered to check them out at all.
- I've seen pretty much every episode of the Pok?mon anime, and still watch it every Saturday. I'm 22 by the by.

I love watching Indigo League on Netflix. Not sure if I'm willing to try any past that though because of the new voices and traveling companions.

I'm not a fan of Super Mario 64.
Super Mario Sunshine is amazing and the best out of 64 and Galaxy.

yes, super mario 64 is so overrated it's not fun.

sunshine was fun, and def. more fun than most open world super mario games.

I can't comment you but does mayordragon/umeko/jun/noiru ring any bells? :]

back on topic.. general entertainment i don't watch much tv/series at all. so i really don't get people who follows like 10 series be it on actual telly or netflix etc.

My mom had old VHS tapes of the Monkees TV show...I used to watch them when I was a kid and I remembered I wanted to marry Davy Jones and I thought he was singing Daydream Believer to me..and I want to add on to my last unpopular opinion..if Beyonc? and Taylor Swift decided to stop making music..I would totally be cool with that...(drops mic again)..

Lol.YES. I wanted to marry Davy Jones too. I loved the show.
