Unique Mayor and Town Names

Looking for some unique mayor and town names for my second town. I will have a female mayor and I haven't yet decided on a theme. Looking for suggestions :>

If it helps, my current mayor is named Gray and my town is Kinfolk. I like that I haven't seen anyone else with these names :> I don't think I want anything too cutesy!

I'm kind of facing the same dilemma trying to name my second town. Is there any place that you have traveled to (not a major city though because that wouldn't be unique) that you are fond of? Or do you have any interests that you could try to work into your town name? If you decide on a theme first, it will help you think of names. I named my first town Catopia because I like cats and decided to make an all cat town. Just don't overthink it. Come up with something which represents you and it will probably be unique.

You could stick a pin in a map, maybe? There's lots of nice-sounding real place names that are under the letter limit.

If you play a lot of games, maybe pick a town name from there? If you pick a more obscure game, it'll be pretty unique (I want to do either Besaid or Djose from Final Fantasy X, or Iselia or Exire from Tales of Symphonia).

My town and mayor names are so unoriginal tbh. Two of the towns I have are named after pretty much the same place and one of them is a plant. My mayor's name is just my name in two and my middle name in one. I'm not name creative.

If you have a theme in mind it'd be easier to pick a name related to the theme. Maybe think of a theme first?

I love to take real words (Nova, Luna, Pyre, Emerald) and switch them up by adding/removing letters, changing the spelling, etc to make a unique town name (Noveon, Luneta, Pyrena, Emyrelle). In a nutshell: pick a real word as your base word, then edit the crap out of it to get something that sounds cool.

I'm doing the natural thing with my third town, and I named it after a place that's pretty much the opposite of natural haha. But I guess if I ever change my mind the name will suit it.

I came up with my town name using this

DreamBay. I kept calling my town newville so I wanted a new name. I love this name.

Good luck naming your mayor and town! I honestly don't know why I used Urania as mine. I felt silly at the time I guess?

My town name is just "Wyn". I couldn't think of anything, because I'm horrible at coming up with names. I remember searching on Google for some random generators and "Wyn" was a suffix that generated, and I was like, "That sounds ok."

An example of a foreign word could be, say, French for dog; "Chien," which you could then change up to maybe "Shienn" or something like that? It's a pretty bad example, but it's the first thing I thought of :')
