Have any of you ever had villagers who you didn't really like at first but then grew really, really attached to? Tom the cat was in my town before I recently reset, and while I didn't think his design was anything special I absolutely love him now after having him for a while. Similar experiences?

I wasn't a big fan of Yuka when she first moved into my town, but she totally grew on me and became one of my favourite villagers. <3

When I first saw Rodeo in my first town, I. freaked. out. I hated him so much. I thought he looked extremely creepy. So I decided I would ignore him until he moved. But then a time came where I had to give him something from one of my other villagers, and the moment I talked to him I felt so bad that I had been trying to get rid of him. He said how he wanted to be closer and become friends and stuff, and it made my heart melt. From then on, we (along with Biff, who was my first best friend villager-wise,) were best buds up until the very end. QUQ
Hamlet, I thought "ugh gotta get him out fast" when I first saw him. But He spent a good 6 months in my town before moving on. Got his pic and celebrated his birthday before that too. Great jock villager you should def give a chance if you get him.

^^ This. When I first saw Hamlet on the box art, I wasn't even excited that he was a hamster, I was just like, ughh, another generic design. However, he grew to be one of my favorite villagers in that town, along with Carmen and Mitzi.
One villager I did not expect at all to really like was Gruff. Before him, I'd never had a goat villager except for Pashima, who I hated. But I gave him a shot, and he was super cool and funny. I was a little sad to let him leave, but his house was in a bad spot.
Others- Curlos, Graham, Wart jr Sterling, Rooney, Bella, Flo, Tex, Muffy, Kyle and probably more I'm too lazy to list.

Vesta. She's starting to grow on me. She's given me a LOT of free things, like shirts. Usually I dislike the things villagers give me, but she's given me some things that I actually wear (or put in my house) instead of giving them away or selling them.

Octavian. When I first walked into his house I thought: "Yeesh, I am so not keeping you." But without me noticing I grew to love him. The other day when he tried to move I told him no, even though I was desperate to move out a villager so I had room in case an awesome camper moved in.

All of my villagers. Like even Maelle, when she moved in i absolutely hated her and just wanted her out. But when she eventually did move out i missed her. Canberra too, although she's still in my town. I thought she was so ugly but now she's cool.

Jambette was one of the starting villagers in Ophylix. A lot of people think she's really ugly and scary, but she's a normal which I love and she was actually really sweet. >< Pango was also a starter in my town and she remains there today because she became best friends with my mayor. She threw my first birthday party in the game.

Midge was in my first town. I didn't like her design (don't like hot pink), and thought she was boring looking. After a while she grew on me, and I still love her. She isn't a dreamie but I wouldn't mind having her in my town again.
