Underrated villager species.

Some villager species like deer and wolves get a lot of love, others not so much. What unpopular villager specie do you think deserves more love?

Personally I love the alligators. There is not a single alligator I dislike. Yet I hardly ever see people talking about them.

Alligators, frogs, gorillas, hippos, and surprisingly ducks.

I don't see a TON of love for the big bears, but I think people do like them. One of those species where I think there are a few fandom faves and then the rest no one really cares for.

I've been to so many towns and looked at others' favorite villager species, and I can say that Pigs are one of the most underrated species. Hugh is cool.

ducks are adorable at least now with ketchup the things are a bit better for them in the community
and I never seen a ugly pig I love all of them
the female kangaroos get also more hate than they deserve too
and cows? cows are underrated

the only species that I hate is anteater what did you think of them?
is the only species that doesn't have a single villager that I like

Lions, tigers, and bears gorillas, and mice! Each of these species have villagers that I love. It's sad to see them shunned by most.

i think that pigs, ducks, and mice are some of the most underrated!
specific examples include -
pigs: Agnes, Gala, Peggy, and Lucy (hopefully the newly released Maggie gets some love!)
ducks: Bill, Drake, and in my (probably unpopular) opinion, Freckles
mice: Chadder (he's cheese!), Dora, and Penelope

like, i understand there is a good amount of villagers in these groups who aren't exactly aesthetically pleasing to many, but i feel like some could use a little more love :^(

I love anteaters and gorillas, which are definitely some of the most despised. I also like cows, hippos, rhinos, and mice a lot.

I don't like Penny because I had her in my first GCN town and she looks horrifying. Not to mention that she won't leave. That doesn't mean I hate mice though.

I have a list of a few underrated villager species as well as a few villagers that are a part of the species.

Alligators: Not a single alligator villager that I dislike! I really like Alfonso because he was a really cool character in the movie and he is very friendly in the games too. Boots is also really cool and like a jock version of Alfonso, only problem is that he only appeared in the N64/GCN games but was brought back in New Leaf via Welcome amiibo though you need his amiibo card.

Elephants: A lot of people really seem to not care much about elephants. My personal favourite elephant is Margie, again because she was a really important character in the movie (and a huge part of the story which I won't spoil).

Mice: While I agree that some mice can be ugly and often or not quite frightening (I'm looking at you, Penny), there are actually some good mice such as Bree.

Anteaters: There are actually a few good anteaters though I forgot their names. Was Pango one? I can't remember. I know Cyrano is one and that's because he was in the movie as a minor character.

Pigs: Quite a lot of pigs are underrated actually, such as Lucy and Truffles (people say she looks ugly, and while she is a bit ugly I also find her pretty funny with the angry eyes and evil grin).

Gorrilas: There are quite a few good gorrilas as well such as Louie and Cesar (who yet again appeared in the movie as a minor character).

Monkeys, frogs and ducks come to mind first. They don't seem to be downright hated but I feel like they aren't too popular either. I have a hard time understanding why. A lot of them are very cute, especially the frogs! I like pretty much every single frog villager out there.
