Recently, I ran onto problems on using the SpotPass function to get DLCs (I'm not talking the ones you get by asking Pelly/Phyllis, I can actually get those without any issue). It took me a while to figure out that I haven't activated SpotPass, so I did it and it seems it actually received SpotPass. But the DLC didn't showed up at all!
While I didn't get any notification on Notification Menu (I never got a single notice about the game), I got the blue dot hovering over my ACNL icon. I booted up and picked up my main character (as well of my 3 other guys), and there isn't even a single mention of DLC. I waited for a day, the same blue dot appears for the second time, yet I didn't receive anything.
There doesn't appear to have a problem with SpotPass itself, but I'm pretty sure there is something wrong with my game.
Did my currently off-set system date and time (compared to Japan Standard Time) affected that? Do I need to get my alternate characters to actually finish the introduction tasks with Shizue like my main character actually did? Or do you have any clue of what should I do, so I can get the SpotPass DLCs?
If you guys managed to get those DLCs, how are your characters in your town? Are your times and dates matching with JST on both in-game and system?
EDIT: My earlier SpotPass notifications were apparently concerning 7-Eleven exclusive DLCs, and it has nothing to do with my players who had yet to finish their introductory jobs from Shizue. You had to be in these stores in Japan to obtain them, or the game will flat out refuse giving them. As for the Yule Log, I managed to receive it via SpotPass Delivery.
