So I dropped it (many a time) and this time I think it busted. The power button goes on, but after 3 seconds or so the bottom screen faintly flickers and then turns off. Any way to fix this?

And also I have Fantasy Life, pictures, and themes on it. Will they be transferred to a new DS just by the SD card?

EDIT: it had a full battery, so it's not the battery :P

try unscrewing the back, taking the battery out, and putting it back in again

Doing it now, ty.

Feel free to suggest in case it doesn't work. c:

ask if you have one?

if not then try using tweezers, sometimes you can line them up to work

As long as you transfer the SD card, I imagine the data should transfer to your next 3ds. ((And buy a case if you get a new one. After abut 3drops, I ordered a good case)

I can try the data thing later though

Data from the SD will always be rejected if put in another 3DS (I believe the photos will be fine, they aren't locked). I am not sure if you log in to your NNID it will work. You may have to ask around or ask Nintendo for that one.

You can just re-download them off your NNID. But you can't transfer your saved data, you need a system transfer.

I looked up the problem and it says it's because of water damage? The description they made matched my problem to a T... Should I try another battery or is it the system? I really want a transfer.

Oh, no. :c I'm sorry that happened. I don't really have any advice, especially considering other people already suggested what I was going to, but I hope you manage to find a way to get it to work or get your saved files/data/info back! Good luck!

Personally I would test it with a new battery if that's the case, IDK, but try contacting Nintendo first.

Oh, WOW I (obviously) didn't know that! Thanks, now I know! ^.^

If you have digital games, they won't transfer if you move the SD card. Since my dad killed my 3DS, I couldn't transfer. Call Nintendo and ask them to transfer your NNID. You'll need your seirel (whatever :p) numbers though!

Oh yes I completely forgot that! You can't log into more than one 3DS at a time.
And yes you need the serial number which is on the back of the 3DS when contacting them.

So I'm thinking I'll send it in for repairs. Anyone know how long it takes for it to return?
I can't answer that question for you as I live in New Zealand, and Nintendo's New Zealand repair service sucks. I've heard America's repair service is pretty good however they will wipe your data, and they may charge you depends on the damages. It all depends if its under warranty.

Ayy... not the battery. Tried my friends battery and still didn't work. Tonight I'm going to try putting it in rice... weird I know but it worked for my moms phone. I still can't believe it would be water damage, but might as well try.
