The tornado sirens are sounding outside, but there aren't any like, really bad looking clouds out. A couple dark ones, but they're storm clouds, and they really aren't even that dark....

And, there isn't a warning or anything on TV. So the question is, should I get to a safe place or something, or...not?

I would be cautious avoid standing next to windows or anything... If the situation gets worse, find shelter.

There isn't even much of a situation, though. It isn't raining, it isn't storming. Just the sirens, and the semi-dark clouds (that don't look like funnel clouds).

I guess I should get down to the basement or something, though...

EDIT: Okay, I just heard some very light thunder. Thats about it...

Reminds of last night when it was freaking yellowish orangish outside.. >_>
Yellowish-orangish? I heard it was supposed to look more mega-black or dark green when Funnel Clouds were near...

Shelter is good. The internetz can only protect you so much.

We had a storm last night too, and the night before that. But no Tornado sirens until now.

Okay, and the sirens have stopped, too... does that mean anything? Do the sirens continue to go off again and again when theres a funnel cloud, or do they go off a few times, then stop...?

I think it goes for a while and then stops, and you have to watch TV to see when its all clear.. if I remember right from the last time it happened here.

Thats the wierd part, there isn't a word about this on TV. And there ussualy is, if theres like a thunderstorm or something.

Okay, now its raining, lightly.

The TV is now saying that theres a Tornado Warning for a different county, but theres a Flash Flood for us. We never get flash floods...

What am I supposed to do to be protected from a Flash Flood? Anything?

Alright, well the flash flood has begun. I've never seen so much rain before! But, it isn't thundering or lightning...ing...so thats a good sign.

And, theres a pond in our backyard that pretty much takes in all the water, so I have nothing to worry about...I think.

Gengar, what state do you live in? We just had a huge storm and got 8 inches of rain. =o <- I stole Storm's smiley.

I dont know if this applies where you live, but they issue tests on the alarm system every month here

This wasn't a test. Turns out there was a funnel cloud, though it disinigrated, a few towns away from here.

The "flash flood" was really nothing, and Jman, I live in Illinois.

Maybe a weekly/monthly test. I was outside waiting for my next activity(I went to track from 11-12 and then this other thing from 12:30-3 and they were both next to eachother so we just ate there everyday) and the siren went off, it was a test.
