Are you starting a new town??? I reset for a week at the beginning of February because I could not figure out what I wanted. I ignored the villagers though except when they were in the spot I wanted my house. Grrr. That was frustrating.

Cycle them out! You resetted your cycle town, right?
I recently had the opposite problem lol.. Reset my main town and each layout I liked had my dreamies in HORRIBLE spots x_x
edit: oh nvm. xD didn't see your previous post. blah, that sucks. i'd still cycle them out though ~
I know exactly how you feel...I know most people argue that you can always get new villagers, but (and maybe this is just me) if there aren't any villagers I like, I just don't wanna play the town.
That's why I reset my newest town after about a month. I got everything I wanted except for a private beach, but since Dotty was a starting villager I let it slide.
I know that feeling. Most of the time I end up getting a favorable map only to come out the station to less than favorable results. Seeing Al as one of my starters pretty much made me turn tail and reset. (No offense to his fans, but I cannot stand him >.<)
I realllly want to get a second copy of the game so I can choose a map that I want/reset to get good starting villagers, etc. After all the work I've done lately and all the items and progress I have, I couldn't reset my first and only town :/
Sometimes I get that feeling too, I might get a second copy later on but still haven't really decided on how I'll make of it. I would like to probably invite villagers that are new in new leaf and so on cx
