While I was plot resetting for Marshal, I accidentally let my game load and he's in a bad spot. Now out of impulse I deleted my whole game. What's there for me next that I'm free from this resetting hell? I don't think I want to play Animal Crossing anymore until the update. I'll just collect Amiibo cards for a personal collection. Btw I'm buying Snake and Genji Cards for 1,000 TBT. And since I live in the Philippines, the shipping might cost a lot to you American players.

Oof, that really, really stings! I'm sorry that had to be your immediate reaction. I hope you can find a good - or even better town in the future.

I wish I can find a good town in the future, my last Archmell town's map sucked anyway. Rocks in undesirable locations and 3 ponds. I just hope that in the update we can pick the spot where villagers can plot their houses instead of spending 3 straight days just to plot reset. It's been such a stressful experience to me, all my efforts in vain.

On the bright side, I can focus on playing Harvest Moon Skytree Village and Pokemon Sun soon :D

Sorry to hear about your town. I think it'll be good for you to play some other games after just losing your ACNL data. Harvest Moon is an excellent choice! I adore the Harvest Moon series, although there have been so many releases that I am behind in the series. I've never even heard of Skytree Village. :x

I'm still stuck at making my farm beautiful in Harvest Moon The Lost Valley, so maybe I'll pick it up again while waiting for Skytree Village. Maybe terraforming and farming and finding crop hybrids would fill in the void of the time I decorate and discover flower hybrids in ACNL.

Oh no D:
It sounds awful to delete your town on accident after a mistake D:
I haven't had it happen to me yet but I know how it feels to delete a save file you worked hard on another game ;;
Hopefully this won't stop you from playing ACNL forever but a break probably would be a good idea
When you do make a new town hopefully its a great layout for you <3

Dood I think you should just chill a little; don't stress yourself out about Animal Crossing.
The game is about winding down and having fun with lil animals, not obsessing over placement.
That's how I got burnt out from my old town.

I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so I stress myself even over the minor flaws in the game. I don't want my town to look all sloppy and messy. I want it to look beautiful to stroll around.

That's it. I'm taking a break from the game. And since I'll be going back to schooling next year I don't think going back to ACNL is a good idea. Maybe I'll just try to emulate Population Growing or City Folk if I have the time.

Yeah, Population Growing sounds like a good idea for you. You can only get so obsessive, because there's only so much customizing that you can do! I also have slight OCD, so I feel where your stress is coming from. I'm trying not to let myself get like that for my new town.

How is Population Growing compared to New Leaf? I heard Bells are hard to gain and the villagers are mean to you. How is that supposed to be a relaxing game. I'd still give it a shot if I could, but I'm leaning towards trying City Folk more.

Bells are harder to get but I think that's better. New Leaf is wayyyyy too easy and the villagers have no personality.

This happened to me with Beau once. He popped up in my campsite, so I invited him. Afterwards he plotted in front of my mayor's house, I couldn't bear this so resetted. I'm much happier with my new town! Beau is currently camping (again), but this tragedy is not gonna happen again!

Daaaamn that sucks more than ever, sorry to hear this terrible news, maybe a reset will allow a fresh start though :)

Are you referring to Population Growing or City Folk? Either way, a good challenge would be nice. New Leaf might be easier to get Bells, but it's so stressful with all the path making and plot resetting.

Based from my experience with Beau, Beau is, indeed, a butt. I hope you can have him in his perfect spot quickly!

That's a shame :( although I guess a break is good sometimes. And I have often considered resetting my town. Kind of wish I'd done it by accident before now to force myself to make a decision. Don't like my map layout or split beach, the only thing I like is my villagers and they can be found again easily enough.
Hopefully the update brings some new aspects to the game, and hopefully you will get back into it :)

Yeah, I hope the update brings up something good besides the Amiibo Card implementation. But I don't feel like starting a new town even with the update coming soon, because I want to focus on studying and mentally preparing myself to get back to college. As you may know, I'm a NEET for 2 years now. When I became a NEET I started to play Animal Crossing, thinking that it would help me with my depression.

It's just a completely different game, with much more charm in my opinion. City Folk was just a clone of Wild World.
Bell aren't THAT hard to gain; you just have to do it the old fashioned way (selling fossils, fish, bugs, etc.), and I find all of those things to be relaxing.
The animals aren't mean exactly, but they can be much sassier. It's more entertaining than upsetting. If you've never tried the original Animal Crossing, then you should. What is there to lose?

I see~! So which would you recommend to me more? Population Growing or City Folk? I haven't played Wild World yet, so I don't know what features it has.
