[n,Nov 24 2009, 12:18:34 AM]that sucks.

Be persuasive, give counter arguments

'I know that you dont want me to go because thers a girl i used to like there, but hey, i dont even need to talk to her. It wont be a problem. You've trusted me before, right? well, i understand your views, and if i cant go... its just fine'

If you have a whiney voice, it will accomplish nothing, If you sound mature, then they will let u go
There's no guarantee. ;)
i know, but it helps

I would just shrug my shoukders and think 'maybe next time!'
Parents are odd, best thing to do is just act RIDICULOUSLY good when you hear of another one and theres a 95% chance they will let you go.
Either that or host your own party

You know what I think's stupid? The fact that ex-gays are looked down upon by both homo and heterosexuals.

Don't we have the choice to do what we want, too?
I just dislike the fact that people look down upon people in general. It's saddening, really.

In reality, everyone is entitled to a choice. I'm sick of the fact that people can't just accept such decisions. If it makes the person happy, then it should be fine; it's not really hurting anyone.
i think some ppl dont like it because it would lower the population of ppl.... but again they dont relieze you can adopt, and w.e. else you can do =/
But that's not a big of issue, mainly it's religious beliefs, and not worrying about the population. We already have a big enough human population as it is that we're almost heading past the Earth's limit, but as said the hate for this is usually based on religion and government beliefs.

And yeah as for the thread, I see you realized the case already :P .

As an ex-gay who grew up in the church I can say that christians do not hate homosexuals. They do tend to get fired up about the issue and sometimes that comes across as hate.

I've been hurt by 'christians' who have made gay jokes and such. They didn't mean to hurt me, but they did. The christians that I know definitely don't hate the LGBT community. They just get over-zealous.
